Vilse

Synopsis:

Six years old and buried alive. Journey through forest and mire to find your way home and reunite with your mother and father. 

All you have is a stick and your bravery.

My Contribution:

  • Level Designing all levels together with LD colleague, switching ownership.

  • Level Propping / Level Art

  • Enemy concept, placement and balancing

  • Game metrics

  • Manually placing colliders on all levels

  • Part of taskforces: Audio, Player, Story and Scripted events, Enemies

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Reflections

While working on Vilse I took on more of a game designer role. This was because it was judged that I had the most experience in the group with this type of game. Because of this I joined more taskforces and sat with other level designers in their taskforces when necessary. I created the level overview for the entire game and with the help of my colleagues we polished it and made it work better. Since horror is a genre I'm passionate about it was very enjoyable to balance the theme with a playable and fun experience.
